Source: Human placenta. Blood sample from the tissue donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 ,HIV-2 and HCV antibodies.

Purification: Transferrin receptor was isolated from human placenta by modified method of Anderson G.J., MacKerras A., Powell L.W. and Halliday J.W(Biochim. Biophys. Acta 884, 225-233, 1986)

Presentation: Lyophilized from 50mM HEPES pH 7.4, 1M KCL, 0.1% CHAPS, 0.01% NaN3. It is recommended that the product should be reconstituted in distilled water.

Analysis: Purity more 95% according to SDS-PAGE

Immunological activity confirmed by reaction with monoclonals which are specific to human transferrin receptor.

Storage: At -20'C in lyophilized form. After reconstitution the solution should be aliquoted and stored at- 20'C. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.

Composition  Specification 96% purity.

Testing Starting material is tested and found negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.

Analysis SDS shows a major band corresponding to a molecular weight of approx 180kD which on reduction indicates a molecular weight of approx 90kD. Protein determination by OD 280nm, Lowry and Pierce BCA total protein assays. Identity confirmed by ELISA.

Storage Below -15ºC.
