-Human thyroid peroxidase is the primary enzyme involved in thyroid hormone synthesis. The immunological measurements of TPO and specific antibodies directed against TPO have been of great value in the screening and monitoring of Hashimoto's thyroiditis and other thyroid diseases.

Source: Human Thyroid Gland. Blood smaples from the tissue donors were tested and found negative for HBSAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 abs and HCV.

Purity: >95% by SDS-Page analysis

Immunological recativity tested with monoclonal antibodies against TPO.

Storage: -20 DEG C upon receipt. After reconstitution, freeze aliquots. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.

Reconstitution: Reconstitute with sterile 1.0ml distilled water or buffer.

USES: Standard in immunoassay, immunogen for antisera production, antigen for iodination

All starting material were tested and found negative for HBsAg and HIV-1 ,HIV-2 and HCV antibodies by an approved method. However, all material should be handled at Biosafety Level II conditions and treated as if capable of transmitting disease.
