Source material: Prepared from the urine of patients with chronic renal tubular proteinuria.

Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon reconstitution.

Specification: > 96% Purity.

Anaylyia: Cellulose acette electrophoresis shows one band with post G electrophoretic mobility.

SDS-PAGE shows one major band, corresponding to a moleculare weight of approx. 13,000.

Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID) versus  internal standard.

Protein determination by the method of Lowry and Optical Density  at 280nm.

Disease state testing: Starting material is tested and found negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.

Storage: 2 - 8'C.
