Source material: Human serum/plasma.
Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain
traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological
levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon
reconstitution.
Specification: 40-90% Purity.
Analysis: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis confirms TBG as the major component.
Electrophoretic mobility of TBG is shown as A1 to inter - alpha.
SDS-PAGE shows TBG as the major component. Molecular weight of TBG approx.
55,000.
Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID) vs
our Pure TBG.
Protein determination by the method of Lowry 280nm and OD.
Disease state testing: Serum/plasma is donor tested and found negative for
HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.
