Source material: Pooled Human serum/plasma.

Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon reconstitution.

Specification: > 98% Purity.

Analysis: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis shows one band only with alpha 1 to inter- alpha electrophoretic mobility.

SDS-PAGE shows one band only, corresponding to a molecular weight of approx. 55,000.

Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID).

Protein determination by the method of Lowry and OD280nm = 0.9. 1cm,0.1%

Disease state testing: Serum/plasma is donor tested and certified negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.
