Source material: Prepared from the urine of patients with chronic renal tubular proteinuria.

Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon reconstitution.

Specification: 98% Purity.

Analysis: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis shows one band only, indicating A1electrophoresis mobility.
SDS-PAGE shows one band only, corresponding to a molecular weight of approx. 21,000.

Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID).

Protein determination by the method of Lowry 280nm and OD = 1.94. 1cm; 0.1%

Disease state testing: Starting material is tested and found negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.

Storage: 2 - 8oC.
