Product: BETA-2 - MICROGLOBULIN (B2M) part pure

Source material: Prepared from the urine of patients with chronic  renal tubular proteinuria.

Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon reconstitution.

Specification: 40-90% Purity.

Analysis: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis confirms B2M as the major component with *2 electrophoretic mobility. Contaminants not characterised.

SDS-PAGE confirms B2M as the major component. Molecular weight of *2M appox. 12,000.

Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID).

Protein determination by the method of Lowry 280nm and OD.

Disease state testing: Starting material is tested and found negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.

Storage: 2 - 8oC.
