Source material: Human serum/plasma.

Product presentation: Supplied lyophilised from 0.02M NH4HCO3. May contain traces of buffer salts. The use of a buffered solution containing physiological levels of saline may aid complete dispersion of the product upon reconstitution.

Specification: > 96% Purity.

Analysis: Cellulose acetate electrophoresis confirms *2 electrophoretic mobility for haptoglobin.

SDS-PAGE indicates the presence of phenotype 1-1 (molecular weight of approx. 86,000) and the presence of polymers that comprise the various forms of phenotypes 2-1 and 2-2.

Quantitative (and qualitative) analysis by radial immunodiffusion (RID).

Disease state testing: Serum/plasma is donor tested and found negative for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies, Hepatitis B surface antigen and HCV antibodies.

Storage: 2 - 8oC.
