Blotting Grade Gold
A blotting grade (BL) gold conjugate of 20nm or a more universal 1nm grade gold conjugate may be chosen for either direct or indirect immunostaining of antigens on Western (proteins), Northern (RNA) or Southern (DNA) blots. BL grade gold conjugates may be silver enhanced to amplify the signal. Individual gold conjugates or kits are available . Kits contain either (1.0ml of 20nm gold or 0.25ml of 1nm grade) plus silver reagents, recommended blocking agents and protocols.
