Murine/Rat Cytokine/Growth Factor/Chemokines Sample Spec sheets (subject to change without notice):
-IL-15 is an immunomodulating cytokine that shares many biological properties
of IL-2. They share common receptor subunits, the beta and gamma chains of
the IL-2R, resulting in crucial functions in the development, survival and
activation of NK and T cells. IL-15 is a co-stimulator for proliferation
of PMA or anti-IgM activated purified B cells. Unlike IL-2, IL-15 acts as
an agonist of human neutrophils and proliferates mouse mast cells and bone
marrow-derived mouse mast cells. Increased expression of IL-15 has been reported
in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and diseases
affiliated with retroviruses HIV and HTLV-I. This recombinant Rat IL-15 is
a 13.5 kDa protein, consisting of 115 amino acid residues.
10 micrograms $231.00 $219.00/package 2 or more
-Mini-Pack# cat#RDI-4024p $94.00/2ug
Supplied: Lyophilized powder with no additives.
Source: E. Coli
Purity: >96% by SDS-Page and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/ug) of rat IL-15
Reconstitution: At first use, tighten cap, genetly tap on counter or centrifuge 1 minute 1000 rpm to concnetrate powder in bottom of vial. The lyophilized IL-15 should then be reconstituted in 50mM Tris pH8.5 to a concentration of 0.1- 1mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C, Mix well. If desired, centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at 4 DEG C for 1 week or -20 DEG C for future use.
Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to later dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain stock >10ug/ml.
Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at - 20 DEG C. Reconstituted IL-15 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.
Reactivity: The ED50 as determined by the stimulation of the proliferation of murine CTLL-2 cells is <10ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of > 100K units/mg.
