-Epithelial Neutrophil Activating Peptide-78 (ENA-78) is a recently discovered chemoattractant and activator for neutrophils, belonging to the IL-8 subgroup of the C-X-C family of chemokines. Human ENA-78 is an 8.0 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues.

Purity: >98% by SDS-Page analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug of ENA-78.

Reconstitution: Lyophilized ENA-78 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at 4 DEG C for up to 1 week or at -20 DEG C for future use. It is recommended that a carrier protein or medium serum be added to diluted material.

Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated below 0 Deg C. Reconstituted ENA-78 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.

Reactivity: Determined by its abililty to chemoattract CXCR2 transfected HEK cells. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using 50ng/ml.
