Murine macrophage/monocyte chemotactic protein-3 (MCP-3, MARC) is an 8.5 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and T-cells.

Purity: >99% by SDS-Page and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than
0.1ng per ug of murine MCP-3.
Reconstitution: The lyophilized MCP-3 should be reconstituted in sterile
water to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes
(suggest tightening cap and rotating. Centrifuge 1000 rpm for 1 minute to
concentrate material in vial to pull any liquid of sides of vial). This solution
can be diluted into other buffered solutions containing carrier protein or
media containing serum and store at 4 DEG C for up to 1 week or at -20 DEG
C long term.
Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other
applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to
dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance
stability and minimize absorption to vial.
Storage: The lyophilized powder should be stored desiccated at -20 DEG C.
Reconstituted MCP-3 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. AVOID
FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.
Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract Balb/C mouse spleen MNCs
using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0 ng/ml.
