Murine/Rat Cytokine/Growth Factor/Chemokines Sample Spec sheets (subject to change without notice):
Murine eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of human eotaxin. This chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the C-C family of chemokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1A. Murine eotaxin is an 8.4kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues.
Catalog#: RDI-2501
Package Size: 10 micrograms $231.00 $21875/pack 2+
mini-pack cat#RDI-2501p $94.00/2ug
Supplied: Lyophilized protein with no additives.
Source: E. Coli
Purity: >98% by SDS-Page analysis. Under reducing SDS- PAGE conditions
the apparent molecular weight of murine eotaxin is as expected (8.4kDa),
while under non reducing conditions the apparent molecular weight is 17kDa.
Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng/ug of eotaxin.
Reconstitution: The lyophilized EOTAXIN is soluble in water and most aqueous
buffers. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in water to a
concentration of 0.1 - 1mg/ml.Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C
, tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If
desired, you can centrifuge at 1000rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume
in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered
solutions containing carrier protein or medium containing serum. Store short
term at 4 DEG C or below.
Storage: The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for a few weeks, is best stored dessicated at -20 DEG C. Reconstituted Eotaxin should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. Avoid Frequent Freeze-THAW Cycles.
Reactivity: Produces chemotaxis over a wide concentration range in an assay using purified eosinophils at concentrations between 100 to 1000ng/ml .
