Murine/Rat Cytokine/Growth Factor/Chemokines Sample Spec sheets (subject to change without notice):

DATA SHEET:   recombinant MURINE INTERLEUKIN-7

IL-7 is a hematopoietic growth factor which affects primarily early B and T cells. Produced by thymic stromal cells, spleen cells and keratinocytes, IL-7 can also co-stimulate the proliferation of mature T cells in combination with other factors such as ConA and IL-2. Human and murine IL-7 is cross-species reactive. Recombinant murine IL-7 is a 15.0 kDa protein containing 130 amino acid residues.

Supplied: Lyophilized powder with no additives.

Source: E. Coli

Purity: >98% by SDS-Page analysis and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/ug) of IL-7.

Reconstitution: The lyophilized IL-7 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C , tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at 4 DEG C for up to 1 week or aliquoted and stored at -20 DEG C for future use. For most in- vitro applications, IL-7 exerts its biological activity in the range of 0.1 to 10.0 ng/ml.

Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Recommend maintaining stock >10ug/ml.

Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20 DEG C. Reconstituted IL-7 should be stored in working aliquots at -20DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.

Reactivity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine IXN/2B cells is <0.2ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5MU/mg
