-Murine SF20 is a secreted bone marrow stroma-derived growth factor. SF20 is not only expressed in bone marrow and spleen stroma cells, it is expressed in resting mononuclear cells, resting CD8+ and CD19+ cells and activated CD8+ T cells. It has been shown only to bind to the surface of cells expressing the receptor TSA-1 (Thymic shared Ag-1). Reports show that SF20 stimulates the proliferation of FDCP2 (a mouse IL-3 factor-dependent hemopoietic cell line) cells and mouse lymphoid cells through TSA-1, but it does not show any myelopoietic activity. More research on SF20 and its receptor TSA-1 may help determine the role they play in the regulation of lymphocyte activation. This recombinant Murine SF20 is a 15.8 kDa protein,consisting of 143 amino acid residues.

Reconstitution: At first use, tighten cap, genetly tap on counter or centrifuge 1 minute 1000 rpm to concentrate powder in bottom of vial. The lyophilized SF20 should then be reconstituted isterile DI water to a concentration of 0.1- 1mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C, Mix well. If desired, centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at 4 DEG C for 1 week or -20 DEG C for future use.
Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to later dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain stock >10ug/ml.
Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at - 20 DEG C. Reconstituted SF20 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES. continued on back side
