RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers
a wide line of recombinant growth factors, cytokines and chemokines and
antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications
(neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of
antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or
types of antibodies not listed below.

DATA SHEET: Rabbit anti-HUMAN IL-1 BETA

Package Size: 1.0 milligram purified IgG in 1.0ml PBS Buffer, pH 7.4. Prepared
from neat rabbit serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation. Sterile filtered, NO
PRESERVATIVES OR CARRIER PROTEINS ADDED. Endotoxin 1.256EU/mg by LAL.
Species: Rabbit IgG
Antigen: recombinant human IL-1B, 17.5kDa
Activity: Reacts with human IL-1 Beta (natural and recombinant forms).
Application -Neutralization:approx 20ug/ml will neutralize 100% of 9 pg/ml
recombinant human IL1B. 1 pg/ml of human IL1B is equivalent to 1 unit of
activity in this assay.
-Western
blotting: use 10ug/ml with 100ng cytokine per lane.
-immunohistochemistry: start at 1:5 dilution evaluating against a positive
control.
-All titers must be detemined in assay
Storage: Store at -20 Deg C upon receipt. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. A carrier protein (BSA) or serum should be added to diluted antibody to maintain the protein concentration at 1mg/ml or greater. This reduces antibody loss by blocking non specific binding to container surfaces.

Activity: Reacts with RAT IL-1B (natural and recombinant forms). There is no
cross reactivity with rat IL-1A, or IL-1A or IL1-B from mouse, rabbit or human
origin.
Application -Neutralization: a dilution of 1:10 will partially neutralize LAF
activity activity on murine C3H/Hej thymocytes.
-Western blotting: 1:10 to 1:50 dilution
-immunoprecipitation:1:10 to 1:100 can be used as the primary capture antibody followed by anti-rabbit IgG or a similar quantity can be bound to Protein A.
