Cytokines, Growth Factors & Chemokines:ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and
others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers
a wide line of recombinant growth factors, cytokines and chemokines
and antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications
(neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of
antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or
types of antibodies not listed below.

MOUSE
MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN INTERFERON ALPHA (MMHA-11):FITC
Conjugated
CAT#
RDI-PB211123, new cat#: 61R-I139cFT $484.00/vial
Quantity
Shipped: 1 vial of 50 tests.
Lot#
Concentration:
300ug in 0.15ml (2mg/ml)
F:P 5
Buffer:
Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.1% BSA
Immunogen: Human leukocyte interferon
Bioactivity:
Binds to and neutralizes human interfer- on alpha (in
non-conjugated form)
Isotype: IgG1 k
Assay Used to
Measure Bioactivity: One neutralization unit is the amount of antiserum
required to neutralize one unit of human interferon alpha (Hu-IFN-a)
to a 50% endpoint. Interferon was titrated with the use of the cytopathic effect inhibition assay as described
[Rubinstein, S.,Familletti,
P.C., and Pestka, S. (1981) "Convenient Assay
for Interferons," J. Virol.37, 755-758; Familletti,P.C., Rubinstein,S.,
and Pestka, S. (1981)" A Convenient and Rapid Cytopathic Effect Inhibition Assay for Interferon," in
Methods in Enzymology, Vol. 78 (S.Pestka,
ed.), Academic Press, New York,
387-394]. In this antiviral assays for interferon about 1 unit/ml of interferon
is the quantity necessary to produce a cytopathic
effect of 50%. The units are determined with respect to the international
reference standard for Hu-IFN-a provided by the
National Institutes of Health [see Pestka, S.
(1986)"Interferon Standards and General Abbreviations, in Methods in Enzymology (S. Pestka, ed.),
Academic Press, New York 119, 14-23].
Usage: Immunocytochemistry; Facs
(titrate from 10ug/ml, 1-5ug/million cells)
Special
Conditions/Comments: After receipt, this product should be kept at 2-8'C.
Protect from light, Do Not Freeze. or below for
retention of full activity. When thawing, the contents of the tube should be
apportioned in separate tubes so that warming is kept to a minimum.

Monoclonal anti-human Interferon Alpha
cat#RDI-TRK4IF13
$375.00/1mg $312.00/mg 2-5mg $250.00/mg
6-20mg INQUIRE FOR BULK
Clone: C10F5
Isotype: IgG1 kappa
Purification: Protein A Sepharose
Specificity: Recognizes common epitopes of
alpha--A,-F,-D, -iL, -P
human interferon subtypes. Kd=2.4X 10 -10M
Application: -Detection in two site immunoassay of recombinant interferon alpha
(subtypes -A,-F,-D,I1,-P). -Detection in two site
immunoassay of natural interferon (assay sensitivity is 5 IU/ml). Recomend to use
a rabbit polyclonal anti-interferon alpha A as a second antibody.
-Affinity purification of recombinant interferons of
alpha-A,-F,-D subtypes.
PRESENTATION: Each monoclonal is delivered in a sealed vial at a
concentration of 1 milligram of murine monoclonal
antibody dissolved in 1ml of phosphate buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide. We recommend that each laboratory determine an
optimum working titer for use in its particular application.
Storage:
Purified monoclonal antibodies are generally stable for period at 4 0C. However
repeated warming to room temperature and re-cooling may result in loss of
activity and hence working titre.
