Cytokines, Growth Factors & Chemokines:ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of recombinant growth factors, cytokines and chemokines and antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

MOUSE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TO: CD 195 (CCR5 N-TERMINAL EXTRACELLULAR DOMAIN)
PRODUCT CODE RDI-CBL700 $375.00
SOURCE Tissue culture supernatent
METHOD Protein A affinity chromatography
SPECIFICITY This antibody recognizes an epitope in the N-terminal extracellular domain of CCR5. It is specific for CCR5 when the receptor is expressed in transfectants, including human, rodent, avian and insect target cell lines. CCR5 is the major chemokine co-receptor for macrophage-tropic strains of HIV-1. CCR5 binds RANTES, MIP-1a and MIP-Ib as expressed on T cells and macrophages; expression concomitant with CD4 renders cells permissive to macrophage-tropic but not T cell tropic virus strains.
APPLICATIONS *Flow cytometric studies and cell sorting for CCR5 expression in infections by expression systems, including human, rodent, avian and insect cells.*Western blotting

Background: The HIV receptor is composed of two molecules, the CD4 binding receptor and a co-receptor. The chemokine receptor CCR5 is one of the co-receptors used by primary isolates of HIV-1. Extracellular domains of CCR5 are important for HIV entry into the target cells.
Storage/Stability: Freeze at -80 °C. Stable for at least 3 years when stored at -80 °C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
